Transition Specialist - West Region
*This is a full-time, remote position*
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify performance and knowledge gaps while educating clients on current job search skills and industry trends.
- Create, review, and revise professional, personalized resumes according to Client Services standards, providing strategic guidance on content tailoring, formatting, and achievement highlighting.
- Develop customized job search strategies and career coaching plans aligned with each client's unique needs and career goals.
- Manage an active client pool with consistent communication cadence per Client Services standards, equipping clients with tools and resources needed to secure meaningful employment.
- Deliver education and career guidance through one-on-one phone sessions, email, and text, with over 50% of time dedicated to follow-up coaching and additional support services.
- Facilitate career development offerings, including mentor sessions and workshops covering career exploration, planning, job search tactics, networking strategies, and other career search related content.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of career planning best practices and stay current with industry developments and trends.
- Contribute strategic insights to leadership based on frontline client experiences to enhance long-term service offerings.
- Support organizational initiatives by building collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; serve as a program ambassador and leverage LinkedIn to promote services and engage with professional networks.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and privacy of all client information in the Hire Heroes USA content-management system in accordance with Client Services standards.
- Basic proficiency with Salesforce Lightning
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, and Social Media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
- Knowledge of fundamentals of career exploration, effective job search tactics, and strategy, and overall career planning and management
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to translate career topics to audiences of widely different levels of experience and knowledge
- Ability to gather and synthesize large amounts of information to develop the expertise needed to support the evolving needs of the Client Services team
- Ability to create and manage relationships via phone, text, and email with a demographically diverse client population at varying stages of their education, work, and life
- Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to adjust your style across a diverse set of conversations
- Experience with public speaking – able to present/speak on webinars, workshops, podcasts, and other public platforms
- General office environment; temperature controlled
- Routinely uses standard office equipment, e.g. copiers, phones, computers
- Travel Required: Up to 10%
- Sitting for extended periods of time
